day 7

Today was day 7 of the challenge and I feel great. Yesterday was ROUGH! I went to a 6am class and my allergies were terrible. I had the worst time focusing because I kept sneezing and couldn't get my breath on track. I felt really bad for the people around me. For a second..or a minute I thought 30 days seemed a bit much. I quickly snapped out of it and just simply laid down to breathe and clear my mind.

Laying down out of a posture is a challenge in itself for me. I don't like being weak or "giving up" but my body was telling me something, "you need a break!" Which was so true! After Bikram, I met with my lululemon co-workers to go over our planning for the first ever complimentary 5K! (details later!!)  and popped into the store for a couple hours. As soon as I got home I took a 3 hour nap!!! I feel so much better today and can't believe I thought of quitting. Good thing I listened to my body, maybe I'll go to bed a little earlier this week.

Gina's 30 day bikram challenge

I'm pretty pumped to start my 30 day challenge! I've been wanting to do this since I started bikram about 5 years ago. I took quite some time off and got back into it a little over a year ago but still haven't committed myself to 30 days of bikram. My adventure starts tomorrow! (well, technically I started tuesday..so I guess it's a 33 day challenge!)

 So far 2 of my friends and fellow co-workers are joining me! I'll need all the support I can get. I know I'll want to take a day off but I just have to tell myself to keep going. And if anyone else out there wants to join us..it starts tomorrow, February 18 at 26HOT in Glen Ellyn and ends March 18! Think you might miss a day or two or three? That's okay..you can double up =)
